The O'Learys used to be a grand clan of Ireland, making their name in oversea trades.  As the English closed their fists, the O'Learys escaped through their fingers, finding themselves in Rhy'Din.

Though what Irishfolk was left amongst the clan has long since passed on, the O'Learys still survive as a hodge podge of misfits.  Blood does not make family, but loyalty does...
